Privacy Policy

Chakkr ("Chakkr", "we", "our", "us") is an AI-powered quoting tool for service businesses, operated at chakkr.app. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our website and application.

By using Chakkr you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the service.

Account information. When you sign up we collect your name, email address, and password (stored as a bcrypt hash). If you sign in via Google OAuth we receive your name and email from Google.

Business profile. You may optionally provide your business name, logo, address, phone, website, service type, currency, and tax settings. This information is displayed on quotes you generate.

Quote data. The job descriptions you enter, the AI-generated quotes, line items, client details (name, email, phone), and quote status are stored in our database to power your quoting dashboard.

Usage data. We automatically collect log data including your IP address, browser type, pages visited, referring URL, and timestamps. This is used for security, debugging, and analytics.

Payment data. We do not store your credit card numbers. Payments are processed by Stripe, who holds a PCI-DSS Level 1 certification. We store only a Stripe customer ID and subscription status.

Cookies. We use session cookies to keep you logged in, and first-party analytics cookies. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.

• To send transactional emails (quote delivery, billing receipts)
• To authenticate your account and maintain session security
• To measure product usage and improve features
• To detect and prevent fraud or abuse

We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We do not use your quote content to train AI models.

We share data only in the following limited circumstances:

• Anthropic. Your job descriptions are sent to the Anthropic API to generate quote content. Anthropic's use is governed by their privacy policy.
• Supabase. Our database and authentication infrastructure runs on Supabase (hosted on AWS).
• Stripe. Payment processing. Stripe may process data in accordance with their privacy policy.
• Legal requirements. We may disclose data if required by law, court order, or to protect the rights and safety of Chakkr and its users.
• Business transfers. In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your data may be transferred. We will notify you before that happens.

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account we delete your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal or financial compliance (e.g., billing records for up to 7 years).

Quote data associated with your account is deleted when you delete your account. Public quote links become inaccessible immediately after account deletion.

We use industry-standard measures to protect your data: TLS encryption in transit, encrypted storage at rest, bcrypt password hashing, and role-based access controls on our database. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure — we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we take it seriously.

Depending on your location you may have the following rights:

• Access. Request a copy of the data we hold about you.
• Correction. Request that inaccurate data be corrected.
• Deletion. Request deletion of your account and associated data.
• Portability. Request your data in a portable format.
• Objection. Object to certain processing of your data.

Chakkr is not directed at children under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

Our service may contain links to third-party websites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites and encourage you to review their policies.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or by a prominent notice on our site. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of Chakkr after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
